Jonna M. Spilbor is an attorney, columnist, and legal analyst appearing regularly on MSNBC, CNN Headline News, Fox News Channel, and Court-TV, as well as Court-TV Radio. She is also the resident legal expert taking calls (and having fun!) every Thursday morning on the Coop & Tobin Show airing on WPDH, 101.5 FM, in the Hudson Valley.

In addition to her frequent television and radio appearances, Jonna is a columnist for the Poughkeepsie Journal, a Gannett-owned daily newspaper. Her column, Reasonable Doubts, is published on alternating Sundays. She is also a regular contributing columnist for Findlaw's Writ (found at Findlaw.com). Her in-depth legal analysis of celebrity criminal cases has been featured nationally in Variety Magazine, The San Francisco Recorder, the Los Angeles Daily Journal and at CNN.com, among others, where Jonna offers unique, expert and often entertaining commentary on the nation's high-profile legal happenings.

In the courtroom, she has handled hundreds of cases as a criminal defense attorney, and prior to that, also served in the San Diego City Attorney's Office, Criminal Division, and the Office of the United States Attorney in the Drug Task Force and Appellate units.

Jonna is a California death penalty scholar whose work has been published in the San Diego Justice Journal. In 1998, she also earned certification as a Court Appointed Special Advocate with the San Diego Juvenile Court, and in 1999, Jonna received special recognition by the San Diego bench for her work in the area of Three Strikes defense. She is a graduate of Thomas Jefferson School of Law, where she was a member of Law Review.

Jonna is licensed to practice law in three of the nation's most influential jurisdictions - New York, California and the District of Columbia. Jonna practices primarily in the areas of Criminal Defense, Family and Matrimonial Law, Personal Injury, Civil Rights, Real Estate and Lien Law.

Todd Carpenter received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Syracuse University in 2000, and his Juris Doctorate from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in 2004. During his years in law school, Todd served on the Student Bar Association and received Pro Bono Honors for his participation in the San Diego County Teen Court program. Today he continues his pro bono service as a volunteer attorney with Legal Services of the Hudson Valley. Throughout his education and employment, Todd has acquired experience in the areas of child advocacy, education law, intellectual property, labor and employment, personal injury, family law, landlord/tenant law and real estate, to name a few. Today, his primary practice areas include DWI defense, vehicle and traffic law offenses, as well as general civil litigation. Todd is admitted to the practice of law before all courts of the State of New York, as well as the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.

Stacee Vaikness was admitted to the NYS Bar and the U.S. District Court for Northern District of New York in 2001. Stacee attended the Syracuse University Newhouse School of Public Communication and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Television/Radio/Film Production in 1993. She received her J.D. law degree from the Syracuse University College of Law in 2000, and graduated magna cum laude. Currently, Stacee practices in the areas of DWI defense, matrimonial and family law, and workers’ compensation.

Andrea M. Trochez graduated from high school in New Jersey third in her class and as a Edward J. Bloustein Distinguished Scholar. While in Boonton High School, Andrea was the captain of her softball team and played on the male soccer team, as well as finding the time to be on the school radio, volunteer at her local church, and participate in the school’s Group Sports Association. Andrea continued on to Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice and completed the classes to attain her Paralegal Certificate. Andrea also participated in the Lesbian, Gay, Straight Alliance, Resident Student Council, to which she held office positions, and the Black Student Union. She completed two internships, one at the Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department, Detective’s Division, and the other here at the Law Offices of Jonna M. Spilbor, PLLC. Throughout college, Andrea worked in a New Jersey Family Law firm, and at her college bookstore, and graduated Magma Cum Laude from Marist. In addition to being an integral part of the law office management team, Andrea coordinates various aspects of the firm’s Divorce, Personal Injury, DWI and Criminal practices.
